BEDS!!

We were excited to get the note from my parents that the beds have been built and delivered to the orphanage.  The kids were so excited.  Pam and I really wish we could have been there!

From the money that was donated, we were able to buy 4 triple bunkbeds with mattresses and mosquito nets.  I love the smiling faces on these kids with their new beds!!

Bean Harvest

September 10th, 2012

 We helped Brenda's mom with her bean harvest.  Her garden is far away from where she lives and the rain was threatening to ruin her beans so she asked us to help.  She had picked many of them and they were piled in an old hut with the roof caving in.  They were getting wet and needed to be out of there.
We stuffed them in sacks and then carried them to the pickup.  Usually she has to carry them all to her home, one at a time,  and that is about 3 miles away from her garden.
