We crossed the Nile on the way to Kampala.
There are always baboons sitting on the sides of the road.
Crossing The Nile We wouldn't want to go down this river in our kayak's. |
We went to a farewell dinner in Kampala for one of the missionary couples who is leaving.

We had a great time in Kampala. We stayed in the apartment building with another couple. We shopped at a couple of stores and bought some things for our house that they don't have in Gulu. It was fun shopping in real stores and finding the kinds of things that we're used to. We found a craft store with items made in Uganda and bought some things to decorate our house. Wish we would have bought more but it seemed so expensive when an item costs 50,000 shillings. That's only about $20 in our money. We figured that out when we got home. We'll have something to look forward to next time we have to go to Kampala. The trip took us 6 hours of intense driving so we don't want to go very soon
