The West Nile Area

Last Saturday, we visited a member who live near Pakwach which is near Lake Albert on the Nile River. The White Nile flows north from Lake Victoria into Lake Albert and then flows out of Lake Albert and becomes the Albert Nile.  It's about a two and one half hour drive from Gulu.  On the way we saw baboons along the roadways and a few monkeys.  It borders some wildlife reserves and is an area that is much hotter than where we live in Gulu.  In the summer season, it can get up to 120 degrees.  We have an appointment there in two weeks to visit with some local government officials and speak to a group of high school students.
